President Trump pardoned former San Francisco 49ers owner Eddie DeBartolo Jr. for his involvement in a corruption scandal in 1998. DeBartolo pleaded guilty for failing to report a felony involving former Lousiana governor Edwin W. Edwards's bribery case for a casino license. DeBartolo paid $1 million in fines and handed over ownership of the 49ers to his sister Denise York.
