It is a sad day for professional wrestling fans and the WWE as the company announced that one of their longest tenured employees, legendary announcer and WWE Hall of Famer Howard Finkel, passed away at the age of 69.
Finkel had been with the WWE since 1979 and served as the ring announcer, where he would introduce the biggest stars in the industry to the ring. In 2009, Finkel was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame for his contributions to the company.
Finkel, who was also known as "The Fink", was a mainstay for the WWE and would also take part in many entertainment segments and storylines throughout his tenure as well as being cast in the WWE Network reality show: Legends’ House, along with other fellow WWE legends and Hall of Famers.
After transitioning from his role as a full-time ring announcer, Finkel would make occasional appearances at WrestleMania, where he would announce the latest class of the WWE Hall of Fame.
Here are some of the reactions on Howard Finkel’s passing and fond memories shared that exemplify the great reputation he had in the business:

Always the most helpful and genuine friend to everyone he came in contact with. My favorite day with Howard was when he and I attended a Cleveland Browns, New York Jets game together. Miss you, Fink! RIP pic.twitter.com/z5PP9MeEEJ
