RAW Opening

 

Our show kicks off with the COO of the WWE Triple H. Triple H welcomes everyone to the Thunderdome and Monday Night RAW. Before Triple can get a word out, he gets interrupted by Randy Orton. Orton says he is aware his match, will not happen tonight with Drew McIntyre because he tested positive for COVID-19.

 

Randy says Triple H is there to benefit him with an announcement. Hunter says it’s been impressive watching Randy wrestle for a year. Triple H also says he doesn’t understand why he has threatened and attacked legends when it does not benefit him. Triple H adds that Orton isn’t a legend, but he is a no-good prick. Orton says he is a legend in his own time just like Hunter, Randy asks Triple H if he is still in there after Randy challenges The Game to fight later tonight. Triple H says no after there is no benefit to him. Randy asks Triple H if he got his balls out of Stephanie’s purse, Hunter then punches Orton in the face. Orton gets back on the mic and says I guess that means yes to Triple H accepted his challenge.

 

The challenge is still on as Triple H didn’t say yes or no.

 

Charlotte and Lacey Evans backstage interview

 

Charlotte says Lacey Evans isn’t the first person to hit on her dad in front of her. Charlotte calls Evans classless and wants to show her how to act like a lady.

 

Lacey Evans dedicates her match tonight to Ric Flair

 

Drew McIntyre update 

 

Drew says he has tested positive for COVID-19. He’s asymptomatic, and Drew reminds everyone to wear a mask and socially distance themselves.

 

Charlotte vs. Lacey Evans

 

Our first match of the night is Charlotte taking on Lacey Evans. The match begins and both ladies tie each other up, Charlotte tries to roll up Evans, but she kicks out. Charlotte hits a big shoulder block and Evans and follows up with chops. Flair hits a knee and then locks her in a headlock with her legs. Flair is dominating the early going in this match and she attacks the knee of Evans.

 

As Evans rolls out of the ring, Ric Flair’s music hits and the nature boy comes down to the ring and we head to break. We come back from the break with Evans now stomping Charlotte in the corner. As the match heads outside, Evans Irish whips Charlotte into the barricade.

 

Back in the ring, Evans stayed in control for a bit before both ladies went back and forth. Charlotte would then deliver a hard kick. But right after Evans tried getting back in control, but the queen started to get rolling. Charlotte connected with a big boot sending Evans to the outside.

 

Back in the ring, both ladies traded shots. Charlotte then hit natural selection and as she pinned Evans Ric Flair, put Evans foot on the rope. Charlotte went for a suplex on Evans, but Ric grabbed Charlotte’s foot causing Evans's weight to shift onto Charlotte into a pin and Evans got the win with the help of Ric Flair.

Evans and Flair get asked what happened and Evans responds she will get changed at the hotel and they continue to walk off.

Before Keith Lee can get his words out, he gets interrupted by Sheamus. Sheamus says he got his and Drew’s respect. They then get interrupted by The Miz and John Morrison. They challenge Keith Lee and Sheamus to a match later tonight, Lee and Sheamus accept.

 

Jeff Hardy vs. Jaxson Ryker

 

 We were supposed to get Jeff Hardy vs Elias again, but when Elias makes his entrance, he says he suffered an injury and Jaxson Ryker takes his place. Hardy dominates the match early, but Elias distracts Jeff and Ryker rolls up Hardy and he picks up the win.

 

After the match, Jeff challenges Elias and Jeff says Ryker is better then Elias. Elias tells Ryker to not get involved in the match, Elias heads back to the ring for a match.

Back from the break, Elias and Jeff are trading punches. After that Jeff got in control, hitting a dropkick and an elbow on Elias, Hardy went for a twist of fate, but Elias reversed with a Death Valley driver. Elias then backed Hardy in the corner, after Hardy dodged Elias’s attack Jeff hit a whisper in the wind.

 

Elias hit a big knee on Jeff and hit a spinning neck breaker. Elias was back in control for a bit, but Jeff hit the twist of fate and then hit the Swanton Bomb, Hardy would pick up the win ending the losing streak that he had going on lately.

 

The Miz & John Morrison vs. Keith Lee & Sheamus 

 

Our match starts with Sheamus and John Morrison, Sheamus got in control early, he tagged in Keith Lee. Lee and Sheamus used teamwork on Morrison. Morrison was able to tag in the Miz, but Lee took out both men. Lee tagged in Sheamus who hammered away on Miz. Lee would tag himself and Miz was able to tag in Morrison.

 

John Morrison chopped down Lee with kicks to the legs. Shortly after Lee found backed Morrison in the corner and hit a shoulder tackle on him and this took the turnbuckle off of the ring post. We went to commercial as Lee was smiling.

We come back from break with Lee and Sheamus in control still, after Sheamus was tagged in the Miz got work and worked on Sheamus before he and Morrison would tag each other in and out working on Sheamus. Miz was the legal man once again, but Sheamus fought back, but he was able to make a tag as Miz tagged in Morrison who made sure Sheamus couldn’t reach his partner.

 

Morrison tagged in Miz again he stayed in control for a while but Sheamus planted an Irish curse backbreaker and was able to tag in Lee. Miz tagged in Morrison and Keith Lee dominated both men. Lee hit a perfect power slam on Morrison. Keith was in control, but Sheamus tagged himself in and he hit a brogue kick on Morrison picking up the win for him and Keith Lee.

Triple H accepts Randy Orton’s challenge for later tonight.

 

Keith Lee vs. Sheamus

 

We come back from the break with Keith Lee and Sheamus bicker at each other and the bell rings. Both men went back and forth before Lee got the upper hand hitting big grizzly chops on Sheamus. The fight went to the outside and Lee tossed Sheamus over the barricade.

 

Back in the ring, Sheamus got in control as he worked on Lee’s arm pulling it into the ring post. Sheamus worked on Lee’s arm even more putting submissions on it. Lee tried fighting back, but Sheamus attacked the arm once again. Sheamus went to the top rope, but Lee fought back and climbed the rope as well, but Sheamus knocked Lee down and hit a flying clothesline, followed by a knee.

 

Sheamus stayed on the attack of the arm, but Lee fought back and was able to hit the spirit bomb and this kept Sheamus down and Keith Lee got the win. After the match, Sheamus hugged Keith Lee out of respect for their match.

 

Drew McIntyre responds to Goldberg

 

We get a recap of last week’s ending to RAW. We then go to Drew McIntyre responding to Goldberg’s challenge. McIntyre says he was a fan of Goldberg growing up, he adds that Goldberg put words in his mouth and that Goldberg doesn’t know anything about being WWE Champion because he’s never won it. McIntyre accepts Goldberg’s challenge and says he’s next.

 

Riddle backstage segment

 

We got backstage to Riddle who’s excited about his match, with Lashley he is talking to Lucha House Party and they wish Riddle luck in his match tonight.

 

 

Xavier Woods vs. T-Bar

 

Both men tie each other up and T-Bar shows off his power early with a shoulder block. Woods tries to fight back, but T-Bar puts a stop to that. Woods finally got T-Bar to a knee, but Woods got destroyed by a clothesline. T-Bar slowed the pace down, but Woods fought back hitting chops and using his speed. Woods was able to hit a dropkick that took T-Bar out of the ring. Woods kept the momentum coming, but Woods got distracted by Mace and T-Bar took advantage and hit his finisher the knee to the face and T-Bar got the win.

Orton responds to Triple H’s acceptance of his challenge by saying he can take out of all his hate and turn that turn Triple H.

 

Riddle vs. Bobby Lashley – United States Championship match

 

Our championship match begins and Lashley attacks Riddle before the bell. The bell rings and Bobby spears Riddle in the corner, and Riddle is already bleeding from the mouth. Lashley tossed Riddle to the outside, Riddle would get in on the offence as he pushes Bobby into the ring post and hit the floating bro.

 

Back in the ring, Lashley slammed Riddle to the mat and then locked in the hurt lock and Riddle would tap out, Lashley would retain his title. After the match, Riddle got on the mic and said he couldn’t beat Bobby Lashley tonight but says he can beat MVP. MVP accepted the challenge and walked back to the ring as we cut too commercial.

 

MVP vs. Riddle

 

Back from commercial MVP hit punches on Riddle and hit his Ballin elbow. Riddle connected with a kick and forearms; Riddle caught MVP with a knee. He then kicked Lashley as he tried to distract him. Riddle then hit a floating bro but got speared by Lashley and the match ended in a DQ, Lashley continued the assault after the match. MVP would finish off Riddle with a big kick to the ribs.

 

Adam Pearce/ AJ Styles and Drew Gulak backstage segment

 

AJ Styles tells Adam Pearce he is entering the Royal Rumble match, Drew Gulak appears and tells Pearce he wants in on the match and he wants NO. 30. Pearce tells Drew he can be in the Rumble match if he beats AJ Styles next.

 

AJ Styles vs. Drew Gulak

 

The bell rings and both men hit dropkicks on each other. Gulak hit a snap suplex on Styles. He then hit a tiger driver, Gulak kept the momentum on. AJ would counter, but Gulak kept coming until Styles hit a Pele kick. AJ then landed kicks, punches and clotheslines. Styles knocked Drew to the outside, and while Gulak was down Omas towered over him. Styles then Gulak back in the ring and hit the phenomenal forearm and picked up the win.

 

Triple H & Keith Lee segment

 

Keith Lee approaches Triple H and says to him that Hunter has been there for him, and Lee tells Hunter he will be there for him and that he doesn’t, mind having a third match. Triple H respectfully declines and says he will clean up the mess he made. 

 

Nia Jax & Shayna Baszler vs. Mandy Rose & Dana Brooke

 

Before the match, Mandy Rose and Dana Brooke declared themselves to be in the Women’s Royal Rumble match

 

Baszler and Rose start the match, Baszler goes to stomp on Rose’s arm, but Rose makes a tag to Brooke and Baszler tags in Nia Jax. Jax gets the upper hand using her size to her advantage. Shayna Baszler tagged herself in and Brooke tagged in Mandy. Mandy was on fire showing off her power. She hit a perfect running knee. But Nia Jax pulled her out of the ring. Jax then tagged herself in and hit a Samoan drop. Jax crushed Brooke and Rose in the corner. Baszler would tag herself in again and lock in the kirifuda clutch on Mandy, Mandy would tap out Jax and Baszler picked up the win.

 

Triple H vs. Randy Orton in a fight

 

It’s now main event time and Triple H is all business heading to the ring. Randy Orton comes out next and you can feel the intensity. Orton tries running into the ring, but Triple H catches Orton with a nice punch. Both men trade shots with one another. They go to the outside and Orton gets tossed into the steel steps.

 

Triple H then throws him into the barricade. Orton strikes back with a thumb to the eye, but that doesn’t do anything as Triple H slams, Orton, onto the announce table. Hunter throws Orton back in the ring. Triple H goes under the ring and grabs a sledgehammer. As Triple H heads into the ring taking his time and the lights go out slowly. As Triple H is about to lift the sledgehammer the front of the sledgehammer is burned off and the lights go out and when they come back on Hunter is gone and Alexa Bliss is in the ring and she hits Randy in the face with a fireball. The show ends with Orton covering his face in pain.

 

Tonight’s show was average, it was nice to see Triple H. I did like the return of Alexa Bliss returning and shooting Randy in the face with a fireball. The Fiend’s return is around the corner.
