WWE are providing fans with some nostalgia tonight as the NXT brand hosts NXT TakeOver: In Your House at Full Sail University.

The “In Your House” pay-per-view was a staple in the mid-1990s during the company’s branding of the then-WWF’s “New Generation” and featured many classic moments and matchups as well as the familiar stage design with the superstars making their way through the fake house. Legends including Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels, Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Undertaker, and Mick Foley have all had some of the most memorable matches of their career at this very event.

Tonight’s “In Your House” will be the first time the name has been used since 1999, when WWE hosted “St. Valentine’s Day Massacre”, which marked the WWE debut of The Big Show, who made the jump from WCW.

The event itself is also expected to deliver an exciting night for fans as NXT look to establish their newest signings Karrion Kross and Scarlett, showcase their strong women’s division with the triple threat match for the NXT Women’s Championship, and young stars like Velveteen Dream, who is hoping to provide a memorable moment for this generation of WWE’s fanbase.

Much like past TakeOver events, there will be some speculation as to who may be competing on their final NXT event and heading to either Raw or SmackDown. It had already been announced that Matt Riddle would be moving to SmackDown and there are multiple reports that Dominik Dijakovic could be heading to Raw, but there may be a few more stars competing on tonight’s event that could be following.

This event is appealing because there are multiple matches that could steal the show; Keith Lee defending the NXT North American Championship against Johnny Gargano, Adam Cole defending the NXT Championship against Velveteen Dream, and the NXT Women’s Championship triple threat match between the champion Charlotte Flair, Rhea Ripley, and Io Shirai have all the makings of doing just that.

It will be interesting to see what NXT has in store for tonight’s event and if there will be any surprise appearances throughout.
