NXT brings an exciting TakeOver card to Portland tonight as WWE’s third brand looks to provide a better idea of what fans can expect to see both at TakOver: Tampa and WrestleMania.

The NXT Women’s championship match between the champion Rhea Ripley and Bianca Belair will be one of the main focal points of the show because of Royal Rumble winner Charlotte Flair turning her attention to the NXT Women’s Championship for her WrestleMania title opportunity.

There are three possible scenarios for the Women’s Championship; Charlotte Flair vs Rhea Ripley, which looked like the plan when Ripley interrupted her on Raw, Charlotte Flair vs Bianca Belair, which would make sense as Belair was viewed as an afterthought by Charlotte during their in-ring segment on NXT, or the outcome of tonight’s match could set the stage for a triple threat match at WrestleMania.

I feel WWE should go with the triple threat match because it would allow each woman to shine at the biggest show of the year and lead to some exciting follow up matchups at future NXT TakeOver or WWE PPV events.

Another match that could potentially change the direction of NXT going forward is the NXT Championship match between champion Adam Cole and Tommaso Ciampa.

Since Cole captured the NXT Championship, The Undisputed Era have been a dominate stable in NXT and if Ciampa were to reclaim the championship, it could potentially signify that The Undisputed Era could turn their attention elsewhere, perhaps even feuding with Imperium and picking up where they left off.

If Ciampa becomes champion again, it could set the stage for a potential Tommaso Ciampa vs Finn Balor match for the NXT Championship in the main event of NXT TakeOver: Tampa. With Balor taking on Ciampa's former tag team partner Johnny Gargano, a win could make him the number one contender.
