Aron Stevens was back on Fired Up Tuesday night with the fourth episode of his newest show Ask Me Anything, which is now available on 108 platforms including: iHeartRadio, iTunes, Spotify, Stitcher, Tune In, SoundCloud, and of course Barnburner.ca. Jon Nelson of OSG Sports in Atlanta joined this episode and made a special announcement that Ask Me Anything will now also be airing on the OSG Sports Network and the OSG Sports app.
BarnBurner founder Joseph Peisich and I read some fan questions to Aron in the fourth episode. No topic is really off limits: current events, sports, wrestling, acting, Aron is willing to answer.
April Hunter: Tell the story of when you were a 17-year-old kid at Killer Kowalski’s and you took me aside to ask a very important question about your love life…what should she do?
Aron: I’ve known April for years and she’s always been like a big sister to me. You know as I was finding out about the world at the time and I was always surrounded by older people, see I had a very weird kind of existence when I was in high school because as I was starting to train for pro wrestling, I started training when I was a junior in high school so especially the last two years right…and I'm going from a catholic high school to where I’d be sitting in homeroom having the nuns telling me to tuck my shirt in. That’s Friday mornings and Friday night, I’m getting chairs flung at me by grown men and the independence were really big at the time so you’d be in front of a thousand people and you know you have guys like Balls Mahoney…it was just pretty crazy and so I was in one way forced to grow up very fast and very quickly and in a lot of ways I wasn’t able to relate to a lot of people my own age because I was just thrust into this world. It’s funny because I look back and yes I grew up fast in a ton of ways but then like everyone I went to high school with like they all have families and they’re working on kid number three and you know I’ve always just been kind of independent shall we say, but I’m sure the question it was really naïve at the time whatever I was asking her but I don’t recall any instances to where anything backfired so I’m sure she gave me that wonderful big sisterly advice.
Although Steve Carney of WDAE in Tampa, Florida wasn’t on this week’s show, he still sent in an excellent question regarding FCW.
Steve: Sorry I can’t be there for today’s show. My question is, do you have bad flashbacks when somebody mentions the term “FCW street team”? I forgot if it was Sheamus or Ambrose. Any horror stories that you’d like to share?
Aron: I don’t have so much horror stories. There’s one story in particular and you know what we live in very trying times, so I don’t know if I should tell this to protect the guilty. There was my first FCW street team there was a joke played on me, which ended up in me being panced at an intersection. That’s all I’m saying, I’m not going to incriminate or endite anybody nope. FCW was a very very cool place when I was there and it’s funny cause actually coming from OVW, where it was awesome…it was like the wild west and to this day anyone that was in OVW at that time…there is like this weird kind of kinship we all have and you know in FCW I’m like oh yea it’s not going to be like OVW…it just super corporate now and blah blah blah, but actually FCW was great and I have nothing but awesome memories from FCW and man like you know what, you look back and things like street team and just being in the car, that really is what makes it worth it. Nothing is like performing in front of the fans but you can only perform in front of the fans for so much time a day and then it’s what do you do for the rest of your day and it really is who you surround yourself with and kind of how you choose to spend your time and we had so much fun and I have nothing but good things to say about both FCW and OVW.
