FOOTBALL

The Washington Football Team released their former first-round pick, quarterback Dwayne Haskins. Haskins was drafted #15 in 2019 but never hit his stride. Then, after he started against Seattle in week 15, he was caught violating the NFL's COVID-19 protocol by partying without a face mask. Haskins apologized to the team for his behavior and promised to grow from this setback.

In a very lopsided Monday Night Football game, the Buffalo Bills destroyed the New England Patriots 38-9. Thanks to a tremendous effort from Josh Allen and Stefon Diggs, who racked up 145 yards and three touchdowns, the Bills ensured the Pats finished the season with a losing record (the first time in 20 years).

The San Diego Padres had two big trades in the last couple of days. On Sunday, they acquired former Cy Young winner Blake Snell from the Tampa Bay Rays, and yesterday they grabbed Yu Darvish from the Chicago Cubs.
