The mighty New England Patriots got handed its first loss of the season on Sunday night. Thanks to the Baltimore Ravens' quarterback Lamar Jackson throwing for 163 yards and 3 touchdowns, the Patriots lost 37-20.
While the Pats lost their first game of the season, the Miami Dolphins finally won their first game of the season (and snapped a 10-game losing streak dating back to last December). Dolphins' quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick threw for 3 TD's to help the Dolphins beat the New York Jets 26-18.
The Cleveland Browns lost to the Denver Broncos 24-19. Browns' safety Jermaine Whitehead's performance on Sunday drew criticism on social media, but his response, according to Cleveland's spokesperson, was "totally unacceptable and highly inappropriate." In his now-deleted threatening tweet, he said, “Come get it in blood (expletive) made ass lil boy. I’m out there with a broke hand .. don’t get smoked (expletive) ass cracker.” The Browns have now recorded their 4th straight loss and fall to 2-6 on the season.
