Social media went crazy after the Golden State/Toronto Game 3 when Nicole Curran, wife of Warriors owner Joe Lacob, leaned over Beyoncé to say something to Jay-Z. Beyoncé didn’t look happy with the interaction, and fans took to Curran’s Instagram account and sent her death threats. Curran canceled the account and issued a statement saying,
“Listen, Beehive, I respect Queen B. I love her! I talked to her husband twice tonight. First, to take a drink order for them both when they arrived as they were our guests. Second, to explain why I gave his wife a rose from a fan. All of this has been taken out of context. I am a happily married woman. Telling me to kill myself? Somehow I don't think she would support this.”
The Warriors Klay Thompson is expected to return to the lineup for Game 4 of the NBA Finals on Friday night against the Raptors. Fans hoped Kevin Durant would also return, but coach Steve Kerr said Durant was still recovering from his calf injury suffered on May 8th.
The Philadelphia Eagles have agreed to a four-year contract extension worth as much as $128 million with their quarterback Carson Wentz. At 26 years old, Wentz will now remain under contract with the team until 2024. Wentz posted a video on Twitter saying, "I can't even explain to you how excited I am right now to be a part of this great city for this many more years. It means the world to me. From the moment I got drafted here I knew this place was special."
