The St. Louis Blues made history. In January, the Blues were ranked last in the NHL and now, with their Game 7 win over the Boston Bruins, they will be celebrating their first ever Stanley Cup victory. Congratulations!
Kevin Durant took to Instagram to post a picture after his surgery on his torn Achilles. Durant suffered the injury during Game 5 of the NBA Finals. Durant could become a free agent this offseason if he opts out of his $31.5 million player option for next season with the Warriors. The Achilles injury complicates the situation, as he could take up to a year to recover.
The Warriors, down two games to three, face a must-win situation at home tonight in Game 6 to stay alive in the NBA Finals against the Toronto Raptors.
In other NBA news, Kyrie Irving announced he his switching agents with just a few weeks to go before the beginning of free agency. Irving will now be represented by Jay-Z’s entertainment company, Roc Nation Sports. It’s been reported that both the Brooklyn Nets and NY Knicks have an interest in signing Irving.
