TORONTO - On January 16th, 2020, She’s 4 Sports and GXS Lab will be hosting a panel full of inspiring women who have agreed to take time to come to share their journeys on what they have accomplished in their careers. This Be Bold 2020 speaker series will include, Brittni Donaldson, the assistant coach of the Toronto Raptors, Dr. Jen Welter, the first female coach in the NFL, Kayla Alexander, a WNBA player for the Chicago Sky and Shireen Ahmed, a writer and a sports activist.

Ainka Jess, the founder of She’s 4 Sports, has once again put together a phenomenal event to inspire young women who are in the sports world. Those who are unsure of what their role is in this industry, must attend this event. Ainka’s passion to push women in sports is evident through her She's4Sports organization, which she started from the ground up.

These women are not only the first to do what they are doing in the sports industry, but they are also important because they inspire the younger generation coming up behind them. They are creating an atmosphere where young women feel comfortable to pursue their dreams in this male-dominated field.

In her first season as an assistant coach for the Toronto Raptors, Brittni Donaldson has become not only one of the very few female coaches in the NBA but the youngest one as well. Brittni is only 26 years old! She made her way up to this position spending the last 2 seasons with the Raptors as their Data Analyst.

Dr. Jen Welter is an American Football coach who has accomplished many “firsts” as a female in a very heavily male-dominated sport. She was the first female NFL coach with The Arizona Cardinals. While playing and coaching football, Welter managed to get her Ph.D. in Psychology and Masters in Sports Psychology.

Shireen Ahmed is a writer, public speaker and sports activist who encourages and represents Muslim Women in sports. She has a podcast called “Burn It All Down”, she is currently working on a book, and is a member of several organizations that revolve around women in sports, in particular, Muslim women in sports.

Kayla Alexander is a Canadian Professional Basketball player for the Chicago Sky. She plays for the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) and was the 1st Round pick in the 2013 draft. She was selected 8th overall by the San Antonio Silver Stars.

These game-changing women in sports will discuss their experiences and inspiring journeys, as well as the challenges they overcame on the way.

She’s4Sports has done a phenomenal job encouraging women in the sports industry and they continue to do so every day. This event will take place on Thursday, January 16, 2020, from 6-9 pm. It is a wonderful opportunity to listen to women who strive to inspire women.

It will be held at the Catalyst at FACD Ryerson University – Rogers Communications Center (80 Gould Street room 230).
