The UFC bring another stacked pay-per-view event to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on Saturday night, as Jessica Andrade will look to capture the UFC Women’s Strawweight Championship infront of her home crowd when she challenges Rose Namajunas in the main event, Brazillian MMA legend Anderson Silva will look to get back in the win column when he takes on rising middleweight Jared Cannonier, and former UFC and WEC Featherweight Champion Jose Aldo returns to take on Alexander Volkanovski, who’s been on an impressive win streak.

Fans will want to tune in to the prelims on ESPN as the opening bout will see Clay “The Carpenter” Guida take on UFC Hall of Famer and former UFC Welterweight and Lightweight Champion “The Prodigy” BJ Penn.

UFC Women’s Strawweight Championship: Rose Namajunas (c) vs Jessica Andrade

The women will main event this exciting card as number-one contender Jessica Andrade challenges Women’s Strawweight Champion “Thug” Rose Namajunas in hopes of adding her name to the legendary list of Brazilian MMA fighters who’ve captured UFC gold.

Andrade is coming into this fight on a three-fight win streak that includes a vicious knockout victory over former title-challenger Karolina Kowalkiewicz in her most recent fight at UFC 228 back in September. Andrade proved that she possesses knockout power, which can be a problem for the champion if she lets her guard down during the fight.

Although the challenger Andrade has knockout power, Namajunas is no amateur in the striking department; she’s currently on a three-fight win-streak that includes back-to-back victories over former UFC Women’s Strawweight Champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk and Michelle Waterson, who are known for their strong striking ability.

Namajunas will have to use her reach advantage in order to distance herself from the challenger and land calculated combinations as opposed to trading strikes because it could result in her being knocked out and losing her title. Namajunas has improved a great deal from her time on The Ultimate Fighter, where she was a runner-up and has since gone on to become one of the top female fighters in the world.

Prediction: Rose Namajunas retain UFC Women’s Strawweight Championship

Anderson Silva vs Jared Cannonier (Middleweight bout 185lbs)

Future UFC Hall of Famer and former UFC Middleweight Champion Anderson “The Spider” Silva returns to the octagon in Brazil for the first time since UFC Fight Night in 2012, where he defeated UFC Hall of Famer Stephan Bonnar by TKO in the main event. This fight will also be Silva’s first fight since his unanimous decision loss to Israel Adesanya at UFC 234 in February.

Even though Silva was defeated in his last fight, he did have his moments against the younger-unorthodox opponent and remained competitive throughout. Considering Adesanya is the Interim-Middleweight Champion, Silva proved that he can still compete with the best in the division even at 43-years of age.

Silva will be in for a tough test in this bout because his opponent Cannonier competed at heavyweight at one point in his career and will come into this fight with a avantage in terms of strength.

Cannonier made his middleweight debut in impressive fashion by defeating former WSOF Light-Heavyweight and Middleweight Champion David Branch at UFC 230 back in November. Cannonier looked like a completely different fighter at middleweight and put the division on notice with his big TKO victory over Branch and will look to do the same against Silva and ascend up the ranks in the UFC’s middleweight division.

Prediction: Anderson Silva wins
