Alexander Edler scored 3:11 into overtime to give the Vancouver Canucks a 3-2 win over the Toronto Maple Leafs in at home on Wednesday. 

Loui Eriksson and Josh Lievo also scored, while Adam Gaudette notched two assists for the Canucks who snapped a two-game losing streak.  Jacob Markstrom stopped 28 shots in the win.

 The Leafs, who had a two-goal lead thanks to Morgan Rielly and Ron Hainsey.

After no goals in the first, Toronto got on the board in the second with a shorthanded goal. Canucks Markus Granlund turned over the puck resulting in a 2-on-1 for Mitch Marner and Hainsey, who took the puck and slid it past Markstrom for the 1-0 lead.

The Leafs made it 2-0 34 seconds later when the Canukcs couldn’t clear the puck behind the net resulting in it being picked off by John Tavares, who slid it to Rielly who sent a slapper through Markstrom’s five hole.

Eriksson got the Canucks on the board and started the comeback at 1:21 of the third with his first point in 15 games. The Leafs were called for too many men on the ice two minutes later, and Nikolay Goldobin fed a cross-ice pass to Leivo who put the puck past Frederik Andersen to tie it up. Edler came up with the game-winning goal to make it 3-2 in overtime for the Canucks
