Simoni Lawrence greets fans before boarding the bus to Pearson International Airport

HAMILTON, ON – Hamilton Tiger-Cats fans were invited to Tim Horton’s Field give their team a send-off midday Tuesday as they head to Calgary for the 107th Grey Cup. Many fans had skipped work or school to see their favourite players board the bus to Pearson Airport for their flight.

The school adjacent to the stadium, Prince of Wales Elementary School, let their classes cross the road to join in the festivities and get some autographs.

Several familiar faces were there, including Angelo Mosca Jr., supporting a stuffed tiger on his shoulder.

Fan-favourite DB Simoni Lawrence was the last to walk out and gave a rousing speech to the crowd before boarding the second bus in line. They drove off soon after.

Grey Cup Sunday is forecasted to be 5 degrees, sunny during the day, with a low of -4. That would shape up to be a good evening for football!

Let me know what you think!
