The Raps Win & Have Positove Vibes Heading 2019!

My New Year’s resolution is to hustle for the rest of my twenties so hard that I don’t need to worry in my thirties- I have 4 years to do that so check in then! What I think the Toronto Raptors resolution should be is to ensure they make the playoffs and come up with a more creative jersey design for these “earned it” jerseys. I mean c’mon, it’s the same chevron design with a jersey colour change.

This was a low scoring game for the National Basketball Association. With both teams under 100 pts we had to focus on individual goals and accomplishments. So let’s get started.  Lowry was still out with that sore back but hey Ibaka was back and it looked like he was feeling himself. He finished with 8 pts & 7 reb but that’s a nice a nice comeback after being away for a few games.

Of course, Kawhi Leonard had a team (& game high) 27 pts & 9reb. I mean he is Toronto’s gift from God. He has definitely made an impact this year for the Raps and everyone is hoping that is will stay in Toronto come next season.

Fun Fact: Toronto has the best record of 2018 with 62-24 and Houston following close behind with 59-23.

Pascal Siakam continued his hot streak with a double double, 20 pts & 12 reb.  If he continues these numbers, I can see him being a major contributor to this team in the playoffs.

The Bulls came within 5pts with 2:27 to go in the game. It was getting too close for comfort for the Canadians. The Raptors stayed ahead and

Pascal put it away with 2 free throws making it 93-85 and if it weren’t for Lauri Markkanen the score would have stayed that way. Markkanen lead the Bulls with 18 pts & 10 reb and is also considered the best player on Chicago’s team.

Don’t forget to vote for your Raps, Lowry & Leonard to send them to the All-Star game in Charlotte, North Carolina, .

Toronto doesn’t get New Years Day off like the rest of us. They welcome the Utah Jazz for tip off at 7:30pm in Toronto.  Utah is 11th in the Western Conference so still have a chance to make it to the playoffs.
