With thanks from the whole team, Canada’s basketball team makes history tonight !

This was a crazy game. Even before the game started ,the Toronto fans were loud and passionate. There was even a lineup around the block just to get in Jurassic Park. When I say”around the block” I don’t mean a little block, I mean more than 500 metres! In their 20 years of being a franchise, this is the first time that the Raptors’ have ever come this close to playing in an NBA Championship. Some celebrities that showed up were Gerry Dee, Nav Bhatia, Drake ,Lily “Superwoman” Singh, Pinball Clemons, Dallas green, Bismack Biyombo, Marcus Stroman, Jessie Reyez, and basically the entire TFC team.

(Jump Ball)

Raptors win the jump and go right for it. Lowry hit the running jumper and then Middleton “one upped” him with a three ball. Middleton would put up six of Milwaukee’s first nine points. Raptors would go scoreless in just under five minutes. The Bucks went on a 8-0 run, that is until Lowry stepped up and hit a three ball bringing them within five. It wouldn’t take long for Leonard to contribute to his game high 27 pts and career high 17 reb.

In the second quarter it was all Milwaukee ball. They were hitting shots and stealing possessions.  Maybe it was because Drake was sitting in his seat most of the quarter. A dangerous player that decided to

Mike Budenholzer started off the second half getting a technical foul sending Kawhi to the line but unfortunately for him, he didn’t sink the free shot. Another player who wasn’t sinking shots from the charity stripe were Giannis Antetokounmpo. He went 5/10 at the line.

Kawhi picks up his third foul on Eric Bledsoe, but if I may say so myself-that was a horrible call because all Kawhi did was go for the rebound and barely touched him. Yet another inconsistent call by the boys in black and white. The biggest deceit game in the 3rd frame when the Bucks were up by fourteen points

How about Kawhi in the last twenty-two seconds of the third quarter, getting fouled and shooting three (missing one), getting his own rebound then getting fouled by Ilyasova. Kawhi heads back to the one to hit one of two. Normally that wouldn’t cut it but this time it did and brought Toronto within five points with twelve minutes to play and millions of fans depending on them.

Ibaka ties the game at seventy-eight forcing coach Mike to call a timeout. Next Raptors possession Siakam puts up a floater to give them their first lead since 9;55 in the first quarter.  Giannis would pick up his third foul giving the Raptors possession and it was all Raptor ball from there. Toronto went on a run of 12-2.

Just like that the Bucks’ were right back into it thanks to George Hill’s fancy handles. This was one of the most amazing games that’s ever been played in this arena(formerly known as the Air Canada Centre).  It went down to the last minute of play and you know that Toronto had this in the bag and they were going to the 2019 NBA Finals to play the best of a seven game series against Steph Curry and his Golden State Warriors.

Toronto makes history tonight and have a long but fun night ahead of them as I’m sure they will all be celebrating. The finals starts Thursday with Toronto welcoming the Warriors for game one and two.
