The Raptors Fall Short After Coming Off An Exciting Win Earlier In The Week

Well this was an interesting Sunday afternoon in Toronto. The Raptors welcomed the Orlando Magic and was a magical one it were-for Orlando, at least. The Raptors are second in the league and Oraland is fighting for a playoff spot in 9th. You’d think this would be a relatively easy walk in the park for Toronto.

The Magic led the whole game except when Pascal Siakam made a driving hook shot putting the Raps up 6-2, and that were their largest lead of the game.

There were no Kawhi Leonard which means the rest of the squad had to step up and take the lead. Kyle Lowry were one of those to stood up as did Marc Gasol, putting up a season high with the new pack. Gasol had 16 pts, 5 ast and 5 reb. Lowry had on the other had a team high 19 pts.

I’ve said this earlier this week the Magic aren’t who they used to be before the All-Star break. They mean business and want this playoff spot. And, Nikola Vucevic is a big reason for that!  He went 10/17 from the field and putting up a double double of 23 pts and 12 reb.

A Magic player who really showed up vs his old team were Terrence Ross. Ross put up 28 pts in twenty nine minutes! Including, a beautiful cutting dunk slam from Aaron Gordon. If this is what the Eastern Conference looks like then -watch out! No need to worry about the West.

Toronto stays at home and will hopefully be more lucky and take on the Boston Celtics. Tip off is at 8:00pm Tuesday. I will be at the game, so if you see me ,make sure to say hello.
