Sir (Jonathan) Isaac shows he is worth that spot on this young Magic roster.

Although the Orlando trailed by most of the game they didn’t trail by much and gave Toronto quite a scare.

Did you see those jerseys?! My oh my, those are sexy. I’ve seen them before because those were the threads the Raptors debuted back in 1995. They actually played in these retro jerseys from 1995-1998 and after that they have had 8 different jersey styles since the original.

The game started off to a fantastic start for the reigning champions. They were playing well together and looked as athletic as ever. Especially Pascal Siakam! With Kawhi Leonard out of the picture (and country), this gives the rest of the roster a chance to shine and prove to the league that they are worthy of that title. Siakam was spinning, dunking, shooting and everything in between! I think he could have a real chance of being the MVP this season. Don’t “at” me. We can talk about this in the postseason.

With Nikola Vucevic not performing well at all, it was time for the rest of the magic squad to stand up and truth be told- they did more than just step up. He didn’t have a bad game, it just wasn’t the game everybody  expected to play. He is supposed to be their vet, their star. Nikola only put up 5 pts but did have a team high 12 reb. So I mean that’s not that bad of a game!

Luckily for Orlando this wouldn’t be as bad as the first round of the postseason because Jonathan Isaac showed up and showed off!  From the jump, he was the star for the Florida team. He contributed a team high 24 pts and 7 reb. Someone with even more impressive , were the Toronto Raptors unofficial Captain, Kyle Terrell Lowry.

Fun Fact: Jonathan Isaac went to Florida State University and is playing his second year in the league.

Fast forward to the final quarter, (former Raptor) Terence Ross checks in for DJ Augustin and immediately nails a three pointer to give the Magic their first lead since the score was 9-7. He wanted that ball bad and how satisfying was watching that ball swish through the net. Doesn’t matter if you were cheering for the Raptors or the  Magic, that was a beautiful shot.

Lowry steps up and rattles in a deep three pointer in to give the raps yet another lead, 94-91 with under three minutes to play. He will then head to the line where he meets his 23 pt mark. Lowry finished with a team high 26 pts and this after his 29 pt game against Boston on Friday.

Fun Fact: This is Kyle Lowry’s 8th season with the prehistoric athletes.

Pascal stands up to the line and hits his 22nd point all while leading the Raps on a 7-0 run. Siakam was hanging on a thread since picking up his 5th foul mid 4th quarter and stayed in the game to ensure the Raps took this to bring their record up to 2-1. I have a good feeling they can make it 3-1 after their game against Detroit is done on Wednesday. Tip off will be at 7:30 pm at the Scotiabank Arena.
