Bucks come through with a big win thanks to the bigs, Lopez & Antetokounmpo
This was a big day for Toronto fans as well as Milwaukee fans. There is even a radio station in Milwaukee refusing to play Drake music until the series is over! I guess it’s Drake’s turn to put a Buck costume on and attend the games. Toronto has never won an eastern conference and the last time Milwaukee did was 1973-1974 vs The Bulls, so there is a lot on the line for both of these teams. Milwaukee had a week long break while Toronto only had a two day break.
Wow! What an amazing game. Especially for Mr.Kyle Lowry. For a guy who doesn’t perform well in game one’s- he sure did tonight! Lowry (almost) led all scorers in the game with 30 pts, 2 ast and 8 reb, going 10/15 from the field. This was HIS game. This was Toronto’s chance to lead the Bucks and actually put some fear into the deer.
Antetokounmpo put up the first six points for Milwaukee making you think he would have a crazy game. I mean, he did had a good game with a double double, 24pts and 14 reb.
A Bucks player that did have a crazy, good, impressive , history making game were Brook Lopez. Lopez contributed 29 pts and 11 reb. This was a new Lopez, and it was fun to watch.
My worry now is that the Toronto Raptors had this game with being up by so much as 13 pts but if they could t pull this off? I'm not sure they can. If they go down 2-0 in this series I don't see them playing Portland..yes, Portland in the NBA Finals . Now that Lowry has stepped up, it's time for the others to. Lowry, Leonard and Siakam all had double digits. While the other starters, Green and Gasol had 6 pts each. They will not win of those two continues this type of play.
It went downhill in the fourth quarter for Toronto as they weren’t able to sink their last nine shots allowing Milwaukee to go on a 9-0 run to end the game. And, there you have it. Bucks take over and take game one. Game two will be Friday night at 8:30 pm. Don’t miss it as this is a huge game for both teams because it will be tough to beat the Bucks after being down 2-0.
Milwaukee 108-100 Toronto
