Fat Joe Performed At Halftime & Raptors Beat Knicks By More Than 30+ Points

Toronto is coming off a high, winning against the Chicago Bulls at home on Tuesday. Not to mention, playing the last place Knicks’ team must seem like a walk in the park compared to what they have coming up this post season. So yeah, you could say they were in good moods and all smiles before tip off. There is only two more weeks in the regular season and everybody is getting very excited. Don’t forget March Madness came back tonight with Purdue taking on Tennessee and winning in overtime, 99-94, and Gonzaga taking the win over Florida State. There are two more games in the lineup tonight and those have just started. Oregon against Virginia and Texas Tech versus Canadian Iggy Brazdeikis and his Wolverines (Michigan).

Toronto looked relaxed and ready to play in the most infamous arena in North America, Madison Square Garden.  This may not have been one of the most exciting games of the season but games like these are good because they allow players who wouldn’t normally get playing time- get quite a bit. That meant you saw every single player on the Toronto Raptors roster step onto the court.  All except Kawhi Leonard who is most likely at home taking a bubble bath due to load management.

Toronto held New York to only eighteen points in the first quarter and under thirty in all quarters. The Knicks’ didn’t lead once in this game but it weren’t for lack of trying. These young bucks are working hard and even though they have the worst record in the league doesn’t mean there isn’t a silver lining to it. Yes, I am speaking of getting number one draft pick Zion Williamson or the “Maple Mamba” RJ Barrett.

New York had yet to make a three point shot until seven seconds left in the second quarter when Dennis Smith Jr. hit a corner three. As a team they only ended up going 6/26 from beyond the arc. Meanwhile Danny Green put up five three point shots alone. Green finished with 15 pts and 2 reb. Speaking of Danny Green, don’t forget to check out my one on one interview with Green on ‘Fired Up’!

New York went on a 6-0 run with thanks to Robinson to help them come within seven points of the second place team and dare I say, making them sweat a little! Nick Nurse gives the boys on the court the clap of encouragement and basically saying “step it up”.

I’m not sure I can stress this enough! Siakam should be this year ‘Most Improved Player’ and next year as well be an All-Star.  He is averaging over 20 pts and 8 reb a game. Siakam put up a game high 31 pts and it just looked to easy. Let’s hope he can break the Raptors postseason curse and keep this up come Playoffs.

Rookie Mitchell Robinson lead the Knicks in points with 19 going 8/12 from the field. Behind Robinson was Kadeem Allen who put up 18 pts! Despite the hard work and effort by New York and head coach David Fizzdale, Raptors take this one in a blowout.

There were two technical given in this game and no, none of them were to Nurse or Ibaka. First was VanVleet arguing the foul that wasn’t given and then Lowry who continued to mouth off to the referee. It made for an interesting game!

Toronto will head to Chicago to play the Bulls on Saturday at 8:00pm. These Raptors have a relatively “laid back” end to the season as every team they have left to play in their remaining six games, they have beat before.
