A Win Is A Win, Toronto Beats The Pacers by 3pts

I went to Indianapolis, Indiana this past August for a family wedding. The wedding was absolutely stunning- the city...not so much. So, I can only imagine how excited the Pacer’s were to get out of there and head to Toronto for a night. The Pacers won seven games in a row before this (now) two game losing streak.

Pascal was back in, Fred Van Vleet was back. Ibaka our and Lowry still out.

With Ibaka out it was the “Moose’”, Greg Monroe who got the start. Munroe is only averaging 4.4 ppg but put up 13 pts and 8 reb vs the Pacers and it all started from a nice feed from Kawhi in the opening seconds of the game.

Normal Powell who has missed 21 games this season checks in and plays 14:00 minutes to get his feet wet. Powell only put up 2 pts but it’s a start.

Fun Fact: Last nights game was the 11th time that Toronto has used a different starting lineup. Tied for 5th in the league. Switch em up Nick !

I miss Corey Joseph. I wish he were still on Toronto. The kid from Pickering, Ontario has had a very successful career. CJ put up 5 pts, 4 reb and 2ast. Joseph made a three right before rookie and fellow Canadian Chris Boucher drained a three.

The bigs were on fire for Indiana as 22 of their 34 pts were in the red after the first frame. The game was all Indiana’s pace until the Raps took over in the 4th quarter.

Indiana’s largest lead was 17 pts and Toronto’s was 3 pts and that happened in the last few moments of the game.

Toronto stays cozy in this above zero weather five days to Christmas and hosts the Cavs for what seems like the 100th game between these two teams this season. Toronto is 2-0 vs the team from Cleveland. Hopefully for Toronto fans a much bigger score differential then this game. Tip off is at 7:00pm.

Toronto 99-96 Pacers
