(Insert Mickey Mouse Laugh Here)

Orlando Magic… You guys beat the Kings of the North (& the league) off their throne! After Toronto’s 29 pt loss to the Magic Friday night, they are now 2nd in the Eastern Conference and the league. Who took the throne? Milwaukee. Toronto still has more wins than the Bucks but have also lost more so that brings their winning percentage down. Toronto is at 0.703% & Milwaukee is sitting at 0.706%. If this is what 2019  brings I don’t want to watch! Again, no Kyle Lowry as he is out with a sore back.

(Jump Ball)

Green claimed the first 2 pts of the game and you couldn’t help but think is this going to be a replay of when they faced each other back in November? Remember when Green hit the game winning shot and everyone went crazy? Well, it wasn’t a replay. Those first 2 pts of the game were his only points of the game. Adding on 2 ast & 4 reb.

Fun Fact: Kyle Lowry and Kawhi Leonard are both nominated to head to Charlotte for the 2019 NBA All Star Game. If you are a Raptor fan , make sure you go and vote!

This was a great game for Vucevic. In the last meeting him and Sam Fournier had a combined 41 pts and that was a concern prior to tipp off, but this time he was like “I’m gonna take this game over all by myself”. Vucevic had a game high 30 pts, 8 ast and 20 reb!

The turning point in Friday nights game happened with 4:39 to play in the 2nd quarter when D.J Augustin went to the line, hit both free throws tying them at 44-44 and then a corner three by Jonathan Isaac to get it going and they didn’t stop until the game was over. Augustin contributed 17 pts and Isaac helped with 14 pts.

Toronto’s mistake in this game and why they lost by 29 pts. Of course, the bigs needed to get  Vucevic under control but they also got out rebounded and only hit 12/34 from the 3 pt line and were 35.3% from the field. Even Kawhi , in respect to his to his other games was having an off night. The future 2019 All-Star only out up 21 pts and was 7/19 from the field. Nonetheless this was a good win for Orlando. It improves their record to 15-19, which means they could still be in the running for a playoff spot.

Let’s all go back to Toronto where Chicago will grace the North with their brotherly love and nostalgic jerseys. Chicago’s record is only 10-26 while Toronto (now)sits at 26-11. Could this be the Toronto the game where the Raps get their groove back or will finish off the year 0-2?

Ps. How cool would it be if the Obama‘s showed up!

Orlando 116-87 Toronto
