“Toronto in 5..”

That’s what I said from the jump. The Toronto Raptors finish off the Orlando Magic to (most likely) meet the 76ers in what will undoubtedly be a fun series to watch.
If you could feel the energy in that arena tonight. I know I mentioned the energy earlier in this first round but oh my- this was ten fold. I’m not exaggerating when I say I shed a tear when announcer Herbie Kuhn was calling out the starting lineup. Drake quietly sneaks in during the 4th quarter to cheer on his home squad. I mean as the Raptors global ambassador he has to, right ?
Raptors win the tip and allow Lowry to get a quick bucket to give Toronto the lead and then hit a three ball. Lowry helped Toronto go on a 14-3 run putting up 9 pts himself forcing the Magic to call a timeout before this got to a point they couldn’t come back from.
Vucevic gets fouled and then T-Ross gets a tech for his reaction. That means Kawhi Leonard would head to the line. Shortly after Lowry would pick up a foul as well only to redeem himself by hitting a off balance fade-away corner three ball. These Toronto Raptors held the Magic to only 19 pts in the first quarter but they were catching momentum in the last few seconds.
Marc Gasol had a mean block on DJ Augustin in the last two minutes of the half. Toronto had a twenty point buffer on Orlando after twenty-four minutes. The good thing is that Augustin was kept under control.
Kawhi will start off the second half with back to back three balls and- giving the fans some free fries at McDonald’s tomorrow. But that was really it for excitement for the Raps the first half of the third quarter. Nick Nurse would call a timeout and try to regroup. It seemed to have work because Leonard went off contributing to his game high 27 pts, 7 reb and going 5/5 from beyond the arc!
Lowry picks up his 4th foul, hurts his hand and wouldn’t return for the rest of the game. He will be playing in the in game one of the second round though. Leonard walked off the court during the 4th and Patrick McCaw would check in for him. McCaw received a huge standing ovation which is nice to see as he is one of the few players who have championship experience ( Golden State Warriors).
With five minutes left in the game, both the Magic and the Raptors would have zero starts on the court and would give bench players some playing time. I mean Toronto was up by 35 pts and they will stay up.
Toronto takes it and although at this moment the Philadelphia and Brooklyn game isn’t done, Philadelphia is up 3-1 in the series and are up by 29 pts, 60-31 at the half. So unless Brooklyn can do why the Clippers did against Golden State, I don’t see them moving onto the second round. The second round will start (latest ) Monday April 29th and that depends how fast teams can wrap it up.
