World Series Game 1 LA 8 Tampa 3

The Los Angeles Dodgers take game one of the world series with a final score of 8-3. 

Cody Bellinger started off the scoring with a two run homerun to center field in the fifth inning. Tampa Bay would cut the lead down to 2-1 in the top of the fifth, thanks to a Kevin Kiermaier solo shot to right field. 

The Dodgers would go on to score six unanswered runs between the 5th inning and the 6th inning. It started with a fielders choice RBI from Max Muncy, Will Smith hit an RBI single to center field, Chris Taylor hit an RBI single to left center field, Kike Hernandez singled to left field, Mookie Betts hit a solo shot to right field and Max Muncy hit a double to right center fied. 

Tampa Bay would make a dent in the lead late in the game, Mike Brosseau hit an RBI single to right field and Kevin Kiermaier would single to right center field to cut the lead down to 8-3. Tampa Bay wasn't able to muster any more offence as The Dodgers took game one 8-3. 

Clayton Kershaw got his 3rd win of the playoffs, going six innings, giving up two hits, one earned run, walked one and struck out eight. 

Tyler Glasnow got the loss going 4.1 innings, giving up three hits, six earned runs, while walking six and striking out eight. 

The LA Dodgers out hit The Tampa Bay Rays 10-6. 

The LA Dodgers left nine runners on base, while Tampa Bay left three runners on base. 

Game 2 of the world series will take place tomorrow night at 8:08pm EST/ 5:08 CST.
