Toronto (5) Baltimore (3) Final

The Toronto Blue Jays took down the Baltimore Orioles by a score of 5-3 on Wednesday night.

Randal Grichuk hit two solo home runs as the Blue Jays (3-4) ventured to a 5-0 lead by the eighth inning. 

Matt Shoemaker (2-0) tossed seven shutout innings and recorded eight strikeouts to earn his second win of the season.

Baltimore (4-2) made a last gasp comeback and produced three runs in the third inning. Trey Mancini delivered a three-run homer to minimize the five-run deficit.

Nate Karns (0-1) was awarded the loss with two innings pitched despite not allowing an earned run.

Teoscar Hernandez produced a single in the first inning to give Toronto a 1-0 lead. Rio Ruiz made a throwing error to first base and allowed Grichuk to score from third.

Lourdes Gurriel Jr. produced two RBI on the night with his first two hits of the season.

Ken Giles recorded his second save of the season with a clean ninth inning, throwing two strikes.
