Rays Even Series Against Dodgers After 6-4 Win In Game 2

Series Tied 1-1

The Tampa Bay Rays squeeze through game 2 with a 6-4 win over The Dodgers. 

Brandon Lowe got things started in the first inning with a solo shot to left center field. Joey Wendle would hit a two run double in the fourth inning to extend Tampa Bay's lead to 3-0 going into the 5th inning. 

Brandon Lowe would hit his second homerun of the game, a two run shot to left field, in the 5th inning to make it 5-0 Tampa Bay. The Dodger's would answer with a two run homerun of there own, thanks to Chris Taylor, in the bottom half of the 5th inning to make it 5-2. 

More runs would come in the 6th inning, Joey Wendle hit a sacrifice fly to left field to make it 6-2. Will Smith hit a solo shot into left field to make it 6-3. Corey Seager would hit a solo shot in the 8th inning to cut Tampa's lead to 6-4. 

Diego Castillo was able to get Chris Taylor to strike out to end the game, as Tampa Bay takes game two with a final score of 6-4. 

Blake Snell started Game two for Tampa Bay, going 4.2 innings, giving up two hits, two earned runs, while walking four and striking out nine. Nick Anderson ended up getting the win, his first of the postseason, going 1.1 innings, giving up one hit, one earned run, while striking out two.  

For The Dodgers Tony Gonsolin got the loss, going 1.1 innings, giving up one hit, one earned run, one walk and striking out one. 

Diego Castillo ended up getting the save going 0.1 innings, and striking out the only batter he faced. 

The Tampa Bay Rays doubled up The Dodgers in hits 10-5. 

Game 3 will be played Friday October 23rd at 8:08pm EST/ 5:08 CST. The expected starters are Walker Buehler for The Dodgers, and Charlie Morton for The Tampa Bay Rays.
