The Blue Jays beat the Baltimore Orioles (11-2) Thursday night and they continue their season-high four-game winning streak.

After sweeping the Kansas City Royals, the Jays started the Orioles series strong, taking a 4-0 lead up until the 5th inning where the Orioles were able to get their first point.

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. hit 2 of the teams 5 home runs. Randal Grichuk, Danny Jansen, and Billy McKinney hit the other 3 home-runs.

Guerrero has been very efficient in his game, hitting 5 homers in the last twelve games.

In addition to that, Trent Thornton had a great pitching night which also helped the teams 11-2 victory over Baltimore.

One of the few high points for the Orioles during this game was the Trey Mancini sole homer at the beginning of the 8th inning.

In the 9th inning, Randal Grichuk had to leave the game after fouling a ball into his face causing bleeding. The ball hit his mouth at a very fast pace and blood visibly came out of his mouth causing him a lot of pain.

Derek Fisher, who was recently acquired at Wednesday’s trade deadline, replaced Grichuk on the field. Fisher was acquired in a trade that sent Aaron Sanchez to the Houston Astros.

The Blue Jays are hopeful to continue their winning streak while adjusting to some changes made to the team. This was the first of the four-game series against the Orioles, the next game will be taking place on Friday at 7:05 pm.
