MLB Quick delivery

Winners and losers from the deadline

-          The New York Yankees added depth to their pitching rotation without comprising their future. The Yankees are set for a deep playoff run and they were able to gear up without giving highly prized prospects like Justus Sheffield and Clint Frazier. Boston still better!

-          The Los Angeles Dodgers hit a homerun by adding Manny Machado and Brian Dozier brings much needed power to the plate for the Dodgers. Although they gave up good prospects, it was the right move. I was a bit surprise they did not added at least a pitcher or two to solidify their bullpen plagued with injuries.

-          The Milwaukee Brewers were a contender before adding Soria, Schoop and Moustakas and are now stuck with a good problem on their hands; how will manager Craig Counsell will rotate all these good players into his lineup. No pitchers though, bold strategy…

Can you believe that score line?!?!

It came a bit as a shock, but it wasn’t a dream, the Nats exploded for 25 runs against the poor New York Mets. It was the highest amount of runs scored since 2007, when the Baltimore Orioles scored 30. This win sends a strong message to the league, after the Nationals were rumored to have a dysfunctional clubhouse. In the win, Ryan Zimmerman became the franchise’s leading hitter with his 1, 695th hit.

Bad news in the Bay

The San Francisco Giants received terrible news this morning. Starting pitcher, Johnny Cueto will have a Tommy John surgery, missing the entire 2019 season. What is happening in San Francisco?
