MLB Quick delivery

Yankees add to their pitching group

The New York Yankees have made some key additions to their bullpen before the non-waiver trade deadline. New York added veteran pitcher J.A Happ from the Toronto Blue Jays and closer Zack Britton from the Baltimore Orioles.

The Jays got 2 infielders in return for Happ, 25 years old Brandon Drury and prospect Billy McKinney.

Baltimore received 3 good prospects in the Britton trade.

Pitchers moving left to right!

This year’s non-waiver trade deadline is a pitchers’ market. Here are the pitchers that moved so far:

-          Cole Hamels has been traded from the Texas Rangers to the Chicago Cubs.

-          Jonny Venters moves from Tampa to Atlanta.

-          Joakim Soria moved from the Chicago White Sox to the Milwaukee Brewers.

-           Sam Tuivailala was traded from St-Louis to Seattle.

Rumours mill

Like if this wasn’t enough, other pitchers might change town soon. The Brewers are reportedly one of the most active team, going after Reds’ Matt Harvey and Mets’ Zack Wheeler.

The Atlanta Braves are apparently going after Blue Jays’ Marcus Stroman.

On the other hand, the Minnesota Twins have stated that they won’t move Kyle Gibson unless they get blown away by a trading partner.
