What A Time in the Sports World

What a time to be a sports fan!! NHL and NBA playoffs, baseball in full force lots to talk get to.

In the NHL playoffs both the Golden Knights and Sharks won and swept their 1st round opponent. While that is a great accomplishment for both Vegas and San Jose look for wholesale changes in both Anaheim and Los Angeles. Neither team could score and both teams could have huge changes to their core players next year.

You have to give a lot of credit to both Philadelphia and Colorado who staved off elimination Friday night. Neither team were expected to win on the road down 3-1 in the series but both teams notched huge upset wins. Now both the Flyers and Avalanche return home with a chance to force a game 7.

The Jets looked great vs Minnesota and will most likely face Nashville in round 2 which will be one of the best series in the playoffs. Should be an instant classic between 2 great teams.

The Maple Leafs will get Nazem Kadri back for game 5 but will need a huge effort like they got 5 years ago when they won game 5 in Boston to avoid elimination. The Leafs have had major issues with defensive breakdowns and Auston Matthews has taken a lot of heat for his inability to dominate the series. Andersen will have to steal a game if this series is to return to Toronto.

The Toronto Raptors lost game 3 to Washington on the road in a very testy game. Look for a much better effort from Toronto in game 4 as they will hope to put this series away Wednesday night in Toronto.

It was a forgone conclusion the winner of this series would face Cleveland but not so fast. The Cavs blew an 18 point half time lead to fall behind the Pacers 2-1 in their series. Definitely a bit of a shocker as Lebron James never loses a 1st round series and usually doesn't lose a first round game.
