NBA Round 1 playoff Picks

Unlike the NHL upsets are uncommon in the NBA playoffs. With home court meaning so much it is rare you see the inferior team win in a 7 game series.
East:
Washington vs Toronto: If the number 1 seeded Raptors are to get to the NBA playoffs for the first time in franchise history it is likely they will need to beat 3 teams that have previously eliminated them Washington, Cleveland and Philadelphia. The Wizards were awful down the stretch falling to the 8 seed and appear to be very disfunctional. Toronto in 5
Milwaukee vs Boston: No one fears the deer the way the Bucks played down the stretch. Boston is very beat up and with no Hayward or Irving they won't go deep but they should be able to use home court to get out of round 1. Boston in 7
Miami vs Philadelphia: No one is hotter that the 76ers who haven't lost a game in ages even without Joel Embiid. Philadelphia will be with out Embiid for the start of the playoffs but that hasn't stopped them down the stretch. Philadelphia in 5
Indiana vs Cleveland: The Pacers had a great year but beating Lebron James in the 1st round is near impossible. In fact all the King has done has sweep his opponent in the 1st round in recent memory and has been to 7 straight NBA Finals. Indiana finds a way to win a game. Cleveland in 5
West:
Houston vs Minnesota: The Rockets had a historic season but do play a very talented and now healthy team in the 1st round. Andrew Wiggins had a down year but Karl Anthony Towns and Jimmy Butler could posses a challenge for the Rockets. In the end Houston finds a way this season. Rockets in 5

Spurs vs Warriors: San Antonio had a tough year with out Kawhi Leonard. The Warriors will be with out Stephen Curry for the 1st round but should still have enough to beat a wounded Spurs team. Warriors in 5
Pelicans vs Blazers: New Orleans did well to get here with out Demarcus Cousins. Anthony Davis is a beast but Portland was one of the better teams in the 2nd half and should find a way to get out of round one. Blazers in 7
Jazz vs Thunder: This will be my upset pick as most experts believe that a team with Russell Westbrook Carmelo Anthony and Paul George should be able to beat a young Jazz team. But Utah was one of the most surprising teams led by rookie Donovan Mitchell. Despite having no playoff experience I say Utah finds a way. Pick Jazz in 6.
Enjoy the playoffs.
